4 Ways to Give Back This Holidays Season (And How Our Team is Supporting the Local Community)

The holiday season marks a time of giving. It reminds us that we can always give more and do more for others within our community. And if you’re stumped, don’t worry; We have a few suggestions regarding how you can give back this year and support your local community in the best way possible. Check out our list below.

1. Volunteer

There’s no greater gift than the gift of time! 

During this time of year, it’s especially easy to find volunteer positions within local community dinners, food banks, or homeless shelters. In some cases, you can even volunteer your time from within the comfort of your own home, such as volunteering for a telephone support hotline for those in need.

2. Support Local

After the last few years, our local businesses can still use your support. Many are still bouncing back after the pandemic. So, instead of doing your Christmas shopping online, shop local. There are plenty of great local shops to choose from.

3. Donate Warm Clothing

During this time of year, we are in the thick of it when it comes to cold weather. However, others out there are much less fortunate than us. If your children have outgrown winter coats, boots, mitts, or hats, donate them to a worthy cause! You can even go the extra mile and buy warm clothing to donate to an organization in the local Finsbury Park community and surrounding area, such as WrapUp London.

4. Join a Food Drive

From the November 22nd to the 20th of December, the Posture & Wellness team is doing a food collection for Elizabeth House. This local community centre works hard to provide food parcels and community services to those in need.
