Elbow pain and tennis elbow
Elbow pain and tennis elbow care at our Finsbury Park clinic
Elbow pain and tennis elbow may be linked to tension patterns running through the shoulder, neck, and upper back. Chiropractic care takes a close look at how your posture may be contributing to elbow pain.

What is tennis elbow?
Tennis elbow is pain on the outside of the elbow where the forearm tendons attach, usually from repeated gripping and twisting. You do not have to play tennis to get it. Golfer's elbow is the same problem on the inside of the joint.
The elbow hangs from the shoulder, and the shoulder hangs from the neck and upper back. When those are pulled forward, the arm works at an awkward angle and the elbow takes strain it should not have to.
How we help with elbow pain
We help with elbow pain that is linked to the neck, shoulder and upper back. Your initial consultation is up to an hour: a detailed case history, an examination of your muscles, joints and nerves, and postural photos so we can see how your whole body is carrying itself.
If your elbow pain is an isolated problem with no link to the rest of your structure, we will tell you so at your initial consultation and point you to the right person. At your report of findings we explain what we found and recommend a care plan.
What care at Posture & Wellness involves
ABC™ corrects the bones that have shifted forward and that your body cannot put back on its own. As the neck and shoulder settle, the arm hangs as it should and the strain on the elbow eases.
Adjustments are gentle, full-body and done fully clothed. We also show you how to sit, sleep and stand so the correction holds between visits.
When to see a doctor first
Please get medical help first if your elbow pain started with a fall or injury and the elbow is swollen or out of shape, if you cannot bend or straighten it, if the joint is hot, swollen and red, or if you have numbness or tingling in your hand that is getting worse.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. Chiropractic care is a primary healthcare profession, so you can book in with us directly.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your body, your history and what you're hoping to achieve. We won't know until we've examined you. We'll talk you through a recommended plan at your report of findings.
