Plantar fasciitis
Plantar fasciitis care at our Finsbury Park clinic
Foot pain around the heel and arch can be influenced by the way load travels through the whole body. At Posture & Wellness, we take this into consideration and can offer short-term management for plantar fasciitis.

What is plantar fasciitis?
The plantar fascia is the thick band of tissue running under your foot from the heel to the toes. Plantar fasciitis is pain where it attaches at the heel, often worst with the first steps in the morning or after sitting.
Your feet are the last thing in the chain. If the pelvis is tilted and the body is leaning forward, your weight lands further forward on the foot than it should, and the fascia is kept under tension with every step.
How we help with plantar fasciitis
Your initial consultation is up to an hour: a detailed case history, an examination of your muscles, joints and nerves, and postural photos so we can see how your whole body is carrying itself.
We look at your feet, and at where your weight is falling through them when you stand and walk. At your report of findings we explain what we found and recommend a care plan.
What care at Posture & Wellness involves
We offer short-term management for plantar fasciitis as part of whole-body care. ABC™ corrects the bones that have shifted forward and that your body cannot put back on its own, so your weight can land more evenly through the foot.
Adjustments are gentle, full-body and done fully clothed. We also show you how to sit, sleep and stand so the correction holds between visits.
When to see a doctor first
Please get medical help first if your foot pain started with an injury and you cannot put weight on it, if the foot is hot, swollen and red, if you have numbness or tingling in the foot, or if you have diabetes and any new foot problem.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. Chiropractic care is a primary healthcare profession, so you can book in with us directly.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your body, your history and what you're hoping to achieve. We won't know until we've examined you. We'll talk you through a recommended plan at your report of findings.
